  • 2 pie crusts (homemade)

  • 2 cups diced apples

  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries

  • 1-1/2 tablespoon raw cane sugar

  • 1-1/2 tablespoons fnely ground oats

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg


  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  • Place pie crusts on a flat, floured surface. Using a rolling pin, roll the pie crusts until slightly thin.

  • Cut out about 10-12 4” circles from the pie crust and place each circle in a regular-sized muffin pan, pressing down the crust to ensure it properly fits in the cup.

  • To make the filling, in a medium bowl, add the chopped apples, dried cranberries, brown sugar, white sugar, plain flour, Arewa Baobab fruit powder, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, ground ginger, ground black pepper and ground nutmeg. Mix together.

  • Add the filling to the muffin pan and use the remaining pie crust to decorate the top of the pie.

  • Bake at 425°F for 20 minutes or until the pie crust is slightly golden brown. Carefully transfer pan from the oven to a flat surface and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Enjoy!
